Abstract
The following article is derived from a research work carried out to opt for the title of social workers in which the authors of this article participated. It aimed to understand how political participation is being built in the historical process carried out by the Colombian State, for the consolidation of peace with the insurgent group of FARC-EP. To do so, a qualitative approach was necessary in order to analyze the narrations of ex-combatants from which it is feasible to address the construction of political participation in the new conditions of the country. In addition to political participation, the research found that there are two elements that complement this reflection: social representations, and psychosocial support. These aspects would demand a reflection for a more inclusive democracy that recognizes the political point of view of the FARC.
