Abstract

The article searches to describe education from the so-called “Liberal Republic”, beginning with the approaches that gave importance to education as an obligation for the internal development of the country in order to achieve greater relevance in the international context, to accomplish this was necessary look for alternatives and support of individuals such as Father Joaquin Salcedo, founder of Radio Sutatenza, the first radio school aimed at satisfying the basic educational needs of farmers and vulnerable populations.
