Abstract

Neiva has been told —from the folkloric expressions,
from the development of urban infrastructure,
from the violence and the trades— as
a cluster of stories, anecdotes and images that
account for those who live and enjoy the city.
The Neiva of yesterday, today and always, is organized
from social memories, imbricated with
experiences, history, reflections and communication,
recognizing the social problems and
cultural values of the city. So, how to build a
city for citizens from their social memories, their
proposals and in the midst of a pandemic. This
question is a challenge for narrative research
and ethnography, which collects the contributions
of history, the symbols of culture and is
based on communication from social dialogue;
therefore, this research work collects written documents;
on the one hand, journalistic and, on
the other, stories consolidated in the classroom.
