Abstract

This paper aims to socialize the way in which the patent of method NC2018/0014268 was constructed to produce clothing items modeled on manikins without generating textile residue, within the framework of the academic work in the Fashion Design programme of Corporación Unificada Nacional
de Educación Superior (CUN) during 2018. This initiative is part of the research project “Model of corporeal architecture based on social and sustainable ethics in fashion”, focused on studying sustainable patronage: an alternative that guarantees the use of the material without generating waste,
through workshops of experimentation on the mannequin that seek to find ideal ways to cover the body. The working processes were documented and resulted in co-creation workshops where the method’s methodology was outlined. The patent will be presented at the end of 2018 for the first form
review before the Super Intendency of Industry and Commerce, a step in which it is defined if it has level of invention (this takes four months). If the answer is positive, it will enter into a deeper review, phase executed by a peer reviewer expert in the discipline.
