Traditional festivals are folkloric expressions that identify cultural values of a territory. In the corregimiento of Fortalecillas, municipality of Neiva, they began to celebrate San Pedro and July 20 since the 20th century. In this context, the research on the festivals was oriented not only to relive the past, but also to discover the present and manage to find values and symbols in the communicative action to strengthen community ties and the active participation of communities in the development of sectors. like tourism. In this sense, the ethnography and the exploration of memory will be extended as methodologies to advance in the field of communication to reconstruct the conceptions of community and the values of tourism.
